This website is designed for screen resolutions of 1024x768 or higher,
using a monitor that is at least in the general ballpark of being properly adjusted. You should be able to
distinguish between each of the tones in the scale shown below. If you cannot distinguish between the brightest
whites or between the darkest blacks, adjust your monitor's contrast and brightness setting until you can.
Once upon a time, photographers would occasionally take a slide projector, select an interesting slide, project it onto a model, and then photograph the resulting interplay between the projected image and the model’s body. The modern equivalent uses a video projector instead of a slide projector, but the basic idea is the same. Here are a few images done last night using this technique. The patterns were created using the Texture Explorer filter from Kai’s Power Tools plugin for Adobe Photoshop, and projected using an Epson video projector.
